Year 2 walked along the river at Dovedale. The stepping stones were a bit tricky! Good job they had some bread left over for those hungry ducks.
Reception spent the day at a forest school.
This was a wonderful day with dance, float making and a themed lunch menu. In the afternoon all the floats set out on an amazing carnival procession up to Heartlands Academy. With World Cup spirit the children cheered the teams of footballers made up of parents, children and staff. The children beat the staff 1-0 but the parents managed to hold them to a 0-0 draw. Good fun!
Come and have a look at our displays in the KS1 entrance and the KS2 area. You can see the work we have been doing on all the major world faiths. Each class visited a place of worship and investigated the beliefs and traditions , symbols and rituals of each faith. Particular thanks to our Muslim children who shared their own faith knowledge this week.
