Easter Bonnets

Well done to everyone who made a bonnet – what wonderful creations!

Holy Week

We started the week by following Jesus on his triumphant journey into Jerusalem. The crowds cheered and sang with joy to see him, shouting “Hosanna to the son of David.”

We joined together with our friends from St Teresa’s and St Augustine’s  to share our reflections on the Year of Mercy.

We watched the disciples at the Last Supper with Jesus, as he shared bread and wine for the last time before he was betrayed and arrested by soldiers.

FInally we saw the events of Good Friday as Jesus walked his final journey up to Calvary to be crucified.

We know this is not the end. After the holiday we will celebrate Jesus rising from the dead so that we can go to live with him in heaven.

Swimming Champion at St Vincent’s

We were treated to visit from swimmer, Joe Roebuck, who came to talk about his journey from being a 10 year old boy who liked swimming to being the British swimming champion, training for several hours per day. He got all the children taking part in some grueling fitness training.  Let’s see how long we can keep this up….

St Patrick’s Day Parade

What a fabulous day! Thank you to the parents who came in during the week to help make costumes and well done to everyone who came along today to march. You looked amazing and brought a smile to all the crowds who watched.  Well done Miss Lane for organising this again.

Feeding the Hungry

Thank you for all your donations of food. The staff were able to make over 100 meals and welfare packages to hand out to the hungry in Birmingham City Centre on our Lenten Feeding the Hungry night.

World Book Day

Well done to everyone who made a costume for World Book Day. The children wrote some excellent stories based on the characters they drew last week with author, Steve Smallman. Watch this space and we will publish some of them.
