Our Ash Wednesday Mass this morning was beautiful. The children sang their hearts out and answered all of Father Solomon’s questions. We have put away the Alleluia now for our journey through Lent
We enjoyed our Shrove Tuesday celebrations today. Sadly the teachers discovered not everyone can win. Never mind Mr Davis.
We heard the story of Jesus’ temptation in the desert. We are going to think about what we can do to show our love for Him during Lent.
The children invited guests from The Pod to come and join in our carol singing On Monday. They served mince pies and presented personalised Christmas Cards which our visitors loved. The ukulele players accompanied the final songs and carols.
We opened our Christmas Cards from Seville!
Our Advent collection for SIFA Fireside to help the homeless and desperate in Birmingham. We send them our prayers also.
Thank you to Year 1 and Year 2 for their beautiful Nativity Play today. You really sounded like God’s angels and you showed us that it’s not the outfit that matters but what inside our hearts.
We’re having a wonderful time despite the late start after Monday’s snow. It’s been great making friends from St Augustine’s in Coventry…….. by having a snowball fight!
Some challenges today. Who can get up that wall? A few sleepy children after a late night dancing!
Thank you year 4 for a beautiful assembly this morning teaching us all about how David persevered to overcome Goliath and how the inventor, Thomas Edison, struggled to overcome his difficulty with reading. They are great examples of what we can achieve when we don’t give up.
We have had some beautiful prayer services led by the liturgy leaders in different classes over the last half term. The children do a wonderful job at making these events very spiritual and bringing the Gospel messages to life.
Thank you for all your donations of food for our Harvest Mass. St Chad’s Sanctuary have been very pleased to receive it.
