We had a glorious day on Friday with our families, building sandcastles, playing beach football, eating ice cream and fish&chips. The children (and a few parents) spent hours in the sea and were beginning to look a bit wrinkled by home time.
Thank you all for your company – it was such a pleasure to share the day with you.
Year 5 had a brilliant day riding the Tissington Trail near Ashbourne. Not everyone fell off!
Pop in and have a look at the displays of children’s work about world faiths.
Year 2 went to visit a Sikh Gudwara.
Year 5 visited a Buddhist Vihara
Year 3 went to Central Mosque
Year 4 went to Central Synagogue
Year 6 will be going to visit St Chad’s Cathedral later in the year
Year 1 will be going to the Shri Venkateswara Hindu Temple next week
Well done to Noah House for winning this term’s house prize. They had a a fantastic time skating and going on the Big Wheel.
Years 1 to 6 went off to Redditch Palace Theatre to see Snow White on Friday. We had a fabulous time and joined the cast in an energetic dance at the end.
We’re having a wonderful time despite the late start after Monday’s snow. It’s been great making friends from St Augustine’s in Coventry…….. by having a snowball fight!
Some challenges today. Who can get up that wall? A few sleepy children after a late night dancing!
Bed making first, then outside for some abseiling, zip wire and climbing. Some very brave efforts and great team work.
Kayaking, camp fire and great team work!
Sad to leave but looking forward to seeing our families again.
An amazing performance by our wonderful choir at Symphony Hall at the Gala Concert
