We had a beautiful prayer service today, thinking about the gifts the Holy Spirit brings to our lives. Well done to all the children who spoke in their home languages.
Congratulations to the Nzau children who were baptized into God’s family today. God bless you always.
On Friday we celebrated Greek Day at St Vincent’s. We wore blue and white, the colours of the Greek flag. We found out lots of information, especially about Heraklion in Crete where our friends live. We watched some Greek dancing and had a go ourselves. In class we wrote stories in the style of a Greek myth. Some of us painted pictures of the characters or buildings we had read about. Others made clay pots and tiles or jewelery.
On the first Tuesday of each month we are delighted to welcome visitors from the parish to come and have lunch with the children. This week the children from Year 5 showed some of our visitors around the library and computer suite. They explained how to keep safe on the internet.
We had a wonderful week finding out all about other world faiths. Each class visited a different place of worship and we presented all our learning in a special assembly. Come and have a look at the display we have made around school.
Well done everyone who ran today. Fantastic effort – you should be proud that you kept going!
Let’s hope we’ve raised a good total for our charities – The Refugee Council and The Good Shepherd Appeal.
