Multi-Faith Week 2017

The children have been learning all about other world faiths. They found lots of things are the same in all our faiths. They really enjoyed the visits to different places of worship.

Pentecost

Thank you to our Pentecost team for a beautiful prayer service this week. It was very moving to hear the children reminding us of the many languages of the crowd the apostles were able to speak to when they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

May Procession

Thank you to all those who came to the May Procession. It was a beautiful walk up to church following the statue of our lady. Well done to the First Holy Communion Group for leading the Mass.

The Daily Mile

Last week we started our challenge to run a mile. It’s hard going but we’re persevering!

Happy Easter

We celebrated our first resurrection mass after Easter Sunday here in school.
There was a lovely surprise for Miss Barr – a special blessing from  the Holy Father Pope Francis.

Spanish Day

We’ve had a fantastic day celebrating all things Spanish today. The children have really impressed me with their speaking skills. They have danced, sung, eaten and conversed with great confidence. Their baking filled the school with the delicious aroma of bread. Thank you to Miss Coleman and Miss Velazquez for organising the day.

Here’s a challenge for you – which Spanish artist were Year 6 studying?

First Reconciliation

Congratulations to the children in Year 3, 4 and 5 who met Jesus in the Sacrament of Reconciliation yesterday for the first time.
