Holy Week Prayer Services

Palm Sunday

We began our Holy Week celebrations with Year 1 and 2 retelling the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem. The crowds called out in praise. Let our hearts too, sing his praise.

The Last Supper

Year 3 told the story of Jesus’ last meal with his friends. He washed their feet as a symbol of service and humility. When we share bread and wine in the Blessed Sacrament, we remember what Jesus did on this special night.

Peter’s Denial

Our friends from St Edmund’s came to help us to present the story of Peter, denying his master and friend by saying he did not know him. And yet Jesus forgave him. And we know he will forgive us too. Let us turn back to Jesus and try again, to follow his example of love.

The Crucifixion

The soldiers drove nails through Jesus’ hands and feet. They lifted up the cross. In pain, our precious Lord died for our sins.

Many people suffer pain every day from being sick, hungry, poor, and because of war or natural disasters. Jesus, please comfort everyone who is in pain today.
