I hope you have had a lovely break from school. We are now in the church’s season of Easter where we reflect on Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. Our Catholic virtues for this half term are Grateful and Generous.
Good Bye For Now
We wish the very best of luck to Mrs Caffrey who is now taking her maternity leave from school. We hope she manages to have a good rest before the baby is born and we let you know her news when the baby is born.
Thank you for all your contributions of food and money for our Lenten charities, especially those who came along to our Grand Art Café Sale at the end of term. Tabor House were very pleased to receive our contributions. The final total for our CAFOD collection was £168.49.
Well done to the boys’ football team who played their final premier league matches last and finished in third place overall – a wonderful achievement. Mr Davis is delighted to announce that his recent bid for funding has been successful so the team may well be getting a new kit soon.
Reachout Holiday Activities
Thank you to Miss Friel for organising an amazing programme over the Easter holidays. It sounds like you had a lot of fun, including a stay and play session, a trip to Conkers, a chocolate day and a music day. Watch out for news of the next holiday activities so you can sign up.
Check on the Reachout Web site for the programme of classes and parent activities for this term. There’s everything from photography to driving theory. See Miss Friel for more details.
Mrs Tibbits is holding a parent workshop to show parents all the online learning activities that we have available for our children. This will be on 8.45 on Friday 27 April.
Show Me What You Know
Here’s a new challenge for your children. Create a Show Me What You Know all about Easter. It can be any form you like – a project folder, a display, a piece of art or a model.
Congratulations to …..
Abenezer in Y4 who has gained his silver record of achievement and Amir in Y1 who has earned his bronze. Keep up the good work!
Our whole school attendance for this week is 96.9%. For the whole year it is 96.7% – we are close to our target of 97% so let’s see if we can beat this and even get to 98% by the end of term.
