School will be open on Tuesday 12th December
School will be open again tomorrow and Year 5 will be heading off to Alton Castle first thing.
Please take care on the pavements.
If you are driving please avoid Vauxhall Grove and make sure you park safely.
A Prayer for Advent
Blessed are you, O Lord our God, king of the universe.
You sent your Son to be the Light of the world and to spread his light of love to all.
May the growing light of our advent wreath
remind us of the approaching coming of your Son
So that the day of His coming may find us prepared and filled with joy.
KS1 Nativity Play
This will begin at 2pm so please be ready in your seats well beforehand. Please note that no photographs or videos will be allowed. The school will be creating a carefully edited video for parents which will be available online. More information soon.
Parish Christmas Bazaar
A huge thank you to everyone who helped in any way or came along to support. It was a huge success and we raised almost £1000.
Years 1 to 6 are off to the theatre next Friday to see Snow White. They will return at about 5.15pm and the coaches will park in Erskine Street to make dropping off safer. Parents can wait for the children in the main playground.
Christmas Play and Carol Service
Please check below for the dates of our Christmas events this year. We hope you will be able to come and watch the children who are practising hard. The Carol Service is always a beautiful event so please come if you can.
Record of Achievement
Well done to Arnold in Y5 and Aisha in Y2 who have gained their Bronze Records of Achievement and Kyla in Y6 who has gained the first Silver! Fantastic effort – keep up the good work.
Congratulations to our very successful cross country running team who competed at the Caritas Schools competition last Friday. Pedro came first in the boys’ event and both boys and girls team did extremely well. We will know the overall team results soon.
Our Year 3 and 4 football team will be playing next Tuesday at Aston Villa. Good luck team!
Alton Castle Trip
Good luck to Year 5, who are off to Alton on Monday for a few days of reflection and outdoor adventure.
Feeding the Hungry
The staff will be taking food and toiletry packs into the city centre next Thursday evening to give to those who need them. We would be glad of any food donations especially drinks, biscuits and chocolate bars. Please bring them to the office.
Winter Craft Fair
Come along and buy some Christmas gifts next Thursday at 3pm in the hall. All items have been made by our parents, who are raising money to fund a future ReachOut activity.
Parking in Vauxhall Grove
A few parents have been blocking Vauxhall Grove and stopping residents from getting to and from their homes. This is unfair to our neighbours. Please park considerately and safely.
Our whole school attendance for this week is 96% and for the whole term it is 96.7%. Let’s aim for 97% by the end of term.
This week’s house point winners are Moses with 154 points. The house point totals for the term are: Jacob 1537 Noah 1704 Abraham 1423 Moses 1575. Well done to Noah in the lead.
Next Wednesday Mass will be for Years 2, 4 and 6 and will be led by Y6. Parents are invited to join us in church at 9.15am.
