Dear Parents,
As you know the government are asking schools to open for Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6. Here at St Vincent’s we know that the lockdown has been a difficult time for everyone in different ways and you have all been in our prayers.  We are looking forward to welcoming the children from these classes back to school.

This letter explains how we are planning to do this as safely as possible. Please read it carefully.

One Tiny Seed

We are excited to see who can grow the tallest beans and sunflowers and the best cress. Mrs O’Brien has some useful advice for you about sunflowers here.


Keep checking your class blogs each day to see what your teachers have posted. You can email them for advice if you get stuck or you can email your finished work.

Don’t forget to check your Classroom Secrets username and password in your pack. Keep checking Mrs Bailey’s blog for some fun challenges too.

Food Vouchers/Food Parcels
Government Food Vouchers should arrive each week by email for those who requested them. Thank you to those who have told me about problems. I am trying to sort these out as quickly as possible.
The next lot of food parcels for collection from school will be on  Wednesday 27th May. We often have ‘extras’ and will send you a text to let you know  when.

Key Workers
If any Key Workers need child care, please telephone school  to arrange this.

Financial  Advice
We know that some parents have lost income due to the lockdown. Any parents who need financial advice please see Mrs Bailey’s help page here.
Mrs Bailey will also be happy to give advice by email during working hours.

Keeping Healthy
Please remember to continue making sure the children wash their hands thoroughly and regularly to protect them against the virus.  Follow the link here to see how. Handwashing Song. Remember to stay at home to keep safe. You can go out to exercise and to shop for food but stay 2m apart from everyone you meet.  If you or your child develop a high temperature or a new continuous cough  follow the advice here.
