Holy Week Assemblies
Parents and friends are invited to join us in school next week for our special Holy Week celebrations. We will be thinking about the events leading up to Jesus’ death and resurrection.

Monday 1.30pm            Palm Sunday assembly
Tuesday 11.30am        Caritas Schools Prayer Service
Wednesday 1.30pm     Tenebrae Service of Light

Lenten Fundraising
We would be glad of any final donations of food for Tabor House – especially breakfast and lunch items and any warm clothes.

Next week on Monday at 3.15pm there will be a special Art Café to raise money for CAFOD.    The children’s art will be on sale in every classroom – prices from 50p to £1. Then pop into the hall for some refreshments

Nursery Dental Hygiene Session –
Monday 26th  March 9.30am  – parents are invited to come along to the nursery for this.

End of Term
Thursday is a teacher training Day. Wednesday will be the last day of term for the children. This is the last newsletter of the term so I will take the opportunity to wish you a very Happy Easter. We will see you on Monday 16th April for the new term.

Easter Services at church
Join us in Church over the Easter period:

Sunday 25th March 12noon – Palm Sunday Mass
Saturday 31st March Easter Vigil 7.30pm
Sunday 1st April Easter Sunday Mass  12 noon.

First Reconciliation
Congratulations to the children from  KS2 who received this sacrament for the first time yesterday.  Most other Catholic children also received the Sacrament yesterday in preparation for Easter. The remaining children will have this opportunity after mass next Wednesday.

Parent and Child Lent Workshop
Thank you to all the parents who came along to join this workshop and made Easter posters.  Enjoy them at home.

Caritas Schools Maths Competition
Well done to our Year 5 maths team who took part in this and showed off their problem solving skills. We were very proud of you.

Sporting News
Well done to our netball team and football team who both played brilliantly in the competitions this week, scoring loots of goals!

Ancient Greeks Day
Have a look on the Year 3 and Year 4 class blogs for photos.

Our whole school attendance for this week is 96%.  March attendance is 95.8%.  Next term we’ll be pushing for 97%. Parents should remember that no holidays in term time are allowed.

Good Friday Walk
All are invited to join a walk of reflection  on Jesus’s walk to Calvary. There will be frequent stops to pray and to sing. The walk will end with refreshments at the Church of Christ.

……Aisha in Y4 who has earned her Gold; Arooj in Y2 and Amiya in Yr 3 who have earned their Silver Record of Achievement, Summer & Wisal in Yr 3, Eugene in Y4, Cameron in Y5 and Benvinda in Yr 6 who have earned Bronze. Keep up the good work.  100 Golden Stamp awards have been achieved by Ariam, Amiya, Chancellor, Fay, Maya, Omari, Rozette, Shahd, Tysharni, Tanhia, Umar Musah, Viona, Wen and Wisal.

House Points
Well done to everyone who has earned house points for good work and good manners this week. This week’s house point winners are Noah with 122 points.
The term winners are  Noah with 634 points. They will receive their prize after the holiday.
