Tuesday 26th May
As you know the government are asking schools to open for Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6. Here at St Vincent’s we know that the lockdown has been a difficult time for everyone in different ways and you have all been in our prayers. We are looking forward to welcoming the children from these classes back to school.
This letter explains how we are planning to do this as safely as possible. Please read it carefully.
Remember – you MUST tell us if anyone in your house has symptoms of Covid-19 and your child must stay at home for 14 days.
One Tiny Seed
We are excited to see who can grow the tallest beans and sunflowers and the best cress. Mrs O’Brien has some useful advice for you about sunflowers here.
Keep checking your class blogs each day to see what your teachers have posted. You can email them for advice if you get stuck or you can email your finished work.
Keep following the Easter journey with Mr Davis here.
On Sunday listen out for Father Solomon ringing the church bells as he offers Mass inside.
At 11am you can join Archbishop Bernard Longley saying Mass at St Chad’s Cathedral here.
Teachers Telling Stories
Settle down and listen to your teachers reading some of their favourite stories here. There are new chapters and stories all the time so keep checking. ……….and now you can tell us what else you’d like us to read on a special request form!
Food Vouchers/Food Parcels
Government Food Vouchers should arrive each week by email for those who requested them. Thank you to those who have told me about problems. I am trying to sort these out as quickly as possible.
The next lot of food parcels for collection from school will be on Wednesday 27th May. We often have ‘extras’ and will send you a text to let you know when.
