Winter PE Kit
In the cold weather this term, children may wear tracksuit bottoms instead of shorts for PE.
Severe Weather Closure
If very severe snow were to mean school could not open, information would be given on the school website and on the radio – Heart FM, Radio WM and BRMB. If we needed to close school early, texts would be sent to parents. Please make sure we have your up-to-date mobile numbers.
Year 2 SATs Parent Meeting 27 January
Parents of pupils in Year 2 are invited to an important meeting about the SATs tests that the children will be taking later in the year. The meeting is being held on 27/1/17 at 9.00am and again at 2.30pm. Please put the date in your diary. Please send back the reply slip from today’s letter.
Well done to all the pupil parliament children who planned events last term. You are making a big difference and helping a lot of people. The lunchtime clubs are really successful. Anyone with new ideas should get a planning sheet from Miss Friel
Swimming – starts this week for Year 3 and 4.
The bank will be in school on Thursday for those children who would like to add to their savings.

On Tuesday, our brilliant year 3 and 4 boys and girls team played in the King Edward Aston tournament. They were fantastic and won one game and drew another. Mr Davis and Mr O’Brien were very proud of them. “They were fabulous sports and just awesome!” Have a look at the photos on the Sports Blog.
Our whole school attendance for this week is 96%. Let’s see if we can have a class with a Friday surprise for 100% attendance next week.
Well done to everyone who has earned house points for good work and good manners this week. Here are the scores –
Abraham 366 Noah 403 Moses 489 Jacob 417
Well done to Moses for taking an early lead!
Next Wednesday there will be no school Mass. Instead there will be a prayer service in the hall for Years 1,3 and 5 led by the children. Parents are welcome to join the children in the hall at 9am.
